I opened this webpage to share background research of the animation film, <garak(string pieces)>.

I have conducted artistic research based on interviews with grandparents, focusing on the big gap between me and the older generation, caused by the fast development of Korean society. The reason I am obsessed with the old stories is because I have lost these stories due to the demolision of the places.

<garak(string pieces)> is a film made from the perspective of a woman born in South Korea in the 1990s. As a person who has not experienced the Korean War(1950~1953), I have collected materials through the internet, books, movies, and interviews.
